Registration Guidance

We are delighted that you will be joining us for the 2026/27 Cohort of the Flourishing ECT Programme. Please see below for instructions on how to register your school on the DfE Portal to ensure that your ECTs are onboarded to the correct programme. The DfE has made some slight changes to the registration process, so it is important to follow the steps outlined below.

Changes for Induction Tutors:

  • One Induction Tutor sign in with multiple users, meaning multiple users per school can log in to the service and take the same actions as the induction tutor

  • ECT start date and TRN validation. Induction tutors will now input the start date of an ECT at their school. They will also enter the TRN, and the service will validate the teachers details for the induction tutor to confirm and proceed

  • Induction Tutors are now able to set the Appropriate Body, Lead Provider and Delivery Partner at participant level.

Registration Process - Current Schools:

  • Schools that have previously had an ECT on the Flourishing ECT Programme will be able to register a participant using their previous programme choices.  

  • Before logging in to the portal, please ensure Induction Tutors have completed the Flourishing ECT Confirmation of Intent 26/27 Form to ensure a partnership can be put in place on the portal.

  • When registering a participant they can choose to continue with a previous selection. Schools already registered with us from the 25/26 cohort will do this. By selecting ‘Yes’ ECTs will be put onto the Flourishing ECT Programme (See picture below)

Registration Process - New Schools:

  • For new schools joining the programme, they will need to select ‘No’ when they reach the screen shown above. They will then input their chosen Appropriate Body as shown below:

  • After this, Induction Tutors will then need to select the Lead Provider they wish to work with, which for the Flourishing ECT Programme is UCL (as shown below)

  • At this point, the Delivery Partner will then be allocated by UCL. To ensure that the right DP is allocated, it is important for schools to complete the Flourishing ECT Confirmation of Intent 26/27 so that the partnership is in place.
